A mile from Rosudgeon is spectacular Acton Castle, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty commanding the peninsula between Stackhouse Cove (200 yard walk, low-tide sand) and Prussia Cove.
Romantic 18th cent.
seaweed expert John Stackhouse spotted the site from St Michael’s Mount for his wedding present to his betrothed, Susanna Acton.
