    “Lovely peaceful Barn.”

Warm and welcoming. So many walks and driving is easy as central to all attractions. Hot tub makes it a lovely treat. The small touches make it so much better. Milk, tea,Coffee and sugar and cleaning items along with hand soap and tea towels even laundry tables. Making such a difference to our shopping.

The property

Nestled amongst tall trees, set just above the road that winds through beautiful forests between the villages of Gulworthy in Devon and Gunnislake in Cornwall, Tamar Barn is a attractive detached stone cottage created from a 200 year old barn.

Nearby, extensive traffic-free trails for walkers, ramblers and cyclists to explore the picturesque Tamar Valley.

The enclosed, rear garden with hot tub and lawned area is wildlife-friendly, owls and deer often spotted, and a great spot to relax and enjoy your family holiday.

Tamar Barn also welcomes two well-behaved dogs.

(Note: elevated rear garden accessed via external stone steps).

At the top of the drive next to the property, there is level off-road parking for two cars as well as lockable bicycle storage lockers - park up and take in the lovely surroundings and cottage exterior before getting settled in.

The sitting room features two sofas and a 55 inch Smart TV and a DVD player, so be sure to bring your favourite films for a family movie night by the warmth of the woodburning stove.

On the ground floor, Tamar Barn has a charming stone wall interior and wooden beams throughout, including the downstairs bathroom with bath and shower over, as well as the well-equipped kitchen/diner where you can rustle up breakfast and plan your day out.

Heading up the contemporary spiral staircase, the first bedroom is perfect for two children, with twin beds and a small window view of the garden, whilst the king-size bedroom features a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the trees and the rear patio, an ideal spot to sit and enjoy your morning coffee.

You will also find a shower room on the first floor, so you can choose between a speedy shower upstairs or a relaxing bubble bath in the ground-floor bathroom, which also has a heated towel rail for extra warmth.

The enclosed rear garden is perfect for children and dogs to play, whilst adults can unwind in the hot tub or cook an alfresco dinner on the barbecue.

An Area of Outstanding Beauty, the valley offers fantastic walks, cycling and archery for the whole family.
