“The house was clean, well maintained and comfortable.”

We had all the necessities/equipment required. There was a welcome package of scones, jam and cream upon our arrival along with fresh flowers which was a nice touch. The parking was a bit tricky, as one car was an EV and the cable was short requiring much 'maneuvering' to charge. Overall a great location, house and holiday.

“It was a lovely specious apartment.”

Toilet flush button in two of the bathrooms were not functional. We have struggled to get in for few hours due to the key storage lock button was not functioning until we managed to find an emergency phone number who guided us to secondary key storage lock in the back of the house. Kind regards

“What a find!”

! This is a really, really excellent property, in a small, quiet village in Cornwall, called Mullion. It is a beautiful area with many quite picturesque small coves to explore. More well known touristy places, for example St. Ives, Lands End, Falmouth are all within 30 miles. The property itself - Ridgeback House, is superbly situated, in a quiet street and has good parking space for two cars. It is very spacious, with a huge kitchen, which is incredibly well equipped. The four bedrooms are all a good size and we all agreed - very comfortable beds!! It is every bit as good as the photos and the description of the property suggest. Book it before somebody else does!!

“Absolutely wonderful property which was homely, comfortable and welcoming.”

The starter pack of teas, coffees and cookies was a lovely touch. Perfect location for exploring this end of Cornwall in a quiet lane. There was an abundance of cooking utensils, tons of seating and the beds were absolutely divine! Excellent communication with the owner and the property management. We loved this property and would happily visit again.

Fantastic facilities very clean and well stocked with everything you need. Massive rooms and very comfortable big beds. Showers were also nice and powerful. The property is really well equipped both inside and in the garden. Our grandson loved the outdoor toys and especially the paddling pool. Large,open plan kitchen with a lovely big table, ideal for family dining. Comfortable bedrooms and well equipped bathrooms. The house is ideally situated to walk into Mullion and lots of interesting places to visit within easy reach. We would stay again.

“The pictures of Ridgeback House are perfect and matched the property perfect.”

All of the rooms are big and spacious. The house itself is well equipped and everything is of a high class quality. The kitchen is excellent with lots of pots and pans, plates etc. The towels were lovely and soft. My teenage grandkids loved the snooker and table football. The garden is quite private. Perfect holiday with lots of beaches nearby. We didn’t really use the spa as the coop is just a few minutes walk away and we’ll stocked. Good fish and chip shop and 2 local pubs nearby. Lovely village with friendly people.

“Beautiful and luxurious holiday home that exceeded expectations, and excellent communication with the owner Very well equipped, especially in the kitchen.”

Games room and ice machine in the kitchen were very popular with our teens! The little covered patio area in the back garden was really lovely and well-kept, with pretty planting display, and we made the most of this area, often eating meals on the patio. Within easy reach of some lovely beaches and walks right on the doorstep, but even heading up to the north coast in search of some bigger surf, was only around 45 minutes. We would gladly return.

We all felt safe and comfortable in the house with all the additional measures which had been taken due to COVID-19. The location allowed us to enjoy the local beaches and walks but also acted as a good base for day trips.

“Firstly Sykes is a brilliant website to use when searching for a property, easy to navigate and the app is great too.”

Ridgeback House was a great family house in a perfect location. It was VERY well equipped, they thought of everything you might need. I recieved a welcome email from the owner making sure all was well and to contact her if we had queries which was a nice touch too. We didn't need to travel more than 20mins on foot or in the car all week. Stunning beaches, chocolate and craft center, Flambards theme park, cafes, parks & shops! I would definitely recommend to others and hope to return soon - a true home from home.

“The best equipped rental house we have every stayed in.”

We were very pleased to be provided with essentials like tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets and much more for our long weekend away. Our party (3 generations) consisted of 3 couples and 2 children and the bedrooms suited us perfectly. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was very clean. Having a tv in each room was a bonus as the children could watch their favourites and the adults theirs. We would definitely like to visit this house and Mullion again.

“Great holiday.”

A really lovely house with every possible need catered for. A co-op and Mullion store very close by with a chippy and pub within a 5 minute walk. Great base to explore the lizard peninsula. Had a very unfortunate problem but Sykes and the owner were very helpful and fair. Was fixed as quickly as possible. Much appreciated. Thank you Sykes, and we can honestly say Ridgeback house is the nicest, well thought out and equipped holiday let we have ever been too. Highly recommended.

It is well placed for the village of Mullion and local attractions and walks. As we know the area well we knew exactly where it was but it is attached to a council estate and not what you would call pretty so if you want lovely views in a picturesque setting this is not for you.

This coastal village setting offers shops for provisions, inns and coffee houses, restaurants, craft shops and art galleries all within a short walk and the picturesque coastline entices you with hot-spot locations including Kynance Cove, Lizard Point and Polurrian Bay Beach.

Mullion harbour and fishing cove on the eastern side of Mounts Bay has a history of smuggling, and is just a four minute drive away.

Enjoy a kayaking adventure or fish from the dinky quayside.

Browse the art galleries and settle with a coffee before a ramble along the cliff top framing uninterrupted sea views.

Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of the UK, boasts a unique landscape with lighthouse and brilliant ocean vistas.

Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for it's Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nestled in a tranquil setting is the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, where there is plenty of entertainment watching seals play and feed. If it is thrill rides that excites you, then Flambards theme park will keep you amused all day and also has excellent living history experiences. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Helston is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family. By car reach numerous outstanding beaches, including Porthleven Beach, Praa Sands Beach, and Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach, with Loe Bar offering a dog-friendly landscape, along with the chance to join the stunning Cornish coastal path.
