“Lovely house well equipped and comfortable.”

Great location. Lovely views. Good size parking space. One suggestion would be to have larger towels - bath sheets would be better. The scones Jam and cream were a lovely surprise and very delicious. Tried to book again for the family next year but it’s already booked so sadly we had to find another house to rent. Thank you very much we had a lovely week.

The property

A fabulous house in a fabulous spot, this property has style, substance and spectacular sea views.

Sitting above Porthmeor beach this handsome holiday home has ample space for everyone to relax in.

Sleep in luxury bedrooms then tootle down the hill for breakfast on the beach below.

Flop about in the gorgeous sitting room or gather for informal lunches around the farmhouse table in the kitchen.

Exquisite furnishings make for hotel like comfort throughout with grown up sofas, super comfy beds and crisp linens.

On a good day you may even spot seals or dolphins in the bay below from the big bay windows.

Outside space is limited but there is a little courtyard and a south facing roof terrace for catching a few rays.

Unusually for St Ives the house also has two off street parking spaces, a real bonus for those in the know.

St Ives is home to four white sandy beaches so you can swim, surf and sunbathe to your heart's content.

Lifeguarded in the summer months, Porthmeor and Porthminster play big brother to the smaller cove of Porthgwidden and the sheltered harbour beach, all surrounded by tempting turquoise waters.

It is an easy five minute downhill walk into the centre of town where you will find galleries choc full of original art and boutique bargains.

Enjoy coffees or cocktails on the waterfront or settle in to one of the many eateries offering seafood, snacks and of course the obligatory Cornish pasty but make sure you look out for the greedy seagulls!

On a clear day we recommend driving west along the coast road towards Sennen Cove and Lands End for incredible views and a good lunch at the award winning Gurnards Head Inn at Zennor on the way.

About the location

ST IVES

Penzance 6 miles.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!
