Settled on a beautiful private park in the heart of Devon, Lodge 10 offers four guests a fabulous dwelling to call home during a tranquil break to the countryside.

Resting just over three miles from the centre of Tavistock, Lodge 10 is perfect for adventures within both the Dartmoor National Park and the Tamar Valley AONB.

The lodge offers guests a contemporary-styled property to unwind in along with gorgeous rural views towards Dartmoor.

An open-plan living space provides a social hub to enjoy together, whether relaxing on the sofas as you watch a film on the TV, or gathering at the dining table for home-cooked meals.

An amply-equipped kitchen boasts a range of appliances to rustle up delicious dishes, with the benefit of a utility room too which houses the washer/dryer.

Head down the hall to discover the master bedroom, home to a king-size double bed, ample storage space and an en-suite shower room, while the second bedroom has two single beds and is served by the family bathroom.

Open up the French doors in summer and settle at the outdoor seating on the decking, sipping on a cold drink in the warm heat as you admire the countryside views.

Just a short drive away is the bustling town of Tavistock where you'll have no trouble finding all you need for your self-catered stay, with the regular Tavistock Pannier Market being great for purchasing local produce and crafts, as well as souvenirs to bring home.

Enjoy an evening out at one of the pubs and restaurants here, with a good selection of cafés too for post-walk treats!

Venture up to Lydford Gorge, a National Trust protected site, home to scenic walking trails and a 30m waterfall, and the English Heritage site of Lydford Castle and Saxon Town.

While in the area, make your excursion more exciting with a unique experience of walking with alpacas at Lydford Gorge Alpacas, so you can admire the scenery of Dartmoor whilst enjoying the company of a new furry friend!

Head off on adventures throughout the Tamar Valley AONB, with kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding all popular ways of exploring this picturesque river and valley.

Walkers can delight in a fantastic selection of tors to hike in Dartmoor, including Great Mis Tor and the beautiful Sheeps Tor, which boasts views over the Burrator Reservoir.

Pick up a fishing permit from Yelverton to enjoy a peaceful afternoon at Burrator Reservoir fishing for rainbow and brown trout, or simply enjoy a walk around the water.

For a more local fishing experience Milemead Fisheries is just 3 miles from the property.

A delightful award-winning market town, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the River Tavy, nestling in the south-west slopes of Dartmoor. Tavistock has an indoor pannier market, a diverse range of independent shops, an excellent choice of pubs, bistros, restaurants, a theatre and a cinema, as well as a leisure pool.
