    “Very quiet location.”

    Loved the hot tub - sadly the weather meant we couldn’t sit out much. The property was very clean and cosy and the hosts were very helpful if we needed anything. Bedding was lovely and cosy and I would definitely book here again.

A true hideaway in a magical countryside setting with delicious views, a beautiful home interior and easy access to the North and South coasts. Set in a large enclosed garden with a hot tub, wooden gazebo with built in seating, lighting and heating for dining al fresco in the day or evening, Demelza Cottage offers rural peace and the chance to unwind.

Remote but not isolated, this very special holiday home is approached by a secure gated entrance leading to over 8 acres of stunning private grounds shared with three other properties including the owner's farmhouse.

Arranged on one level and designed to maximise the views, the accommodation is impeccably turned out with great attention to comfort and detail.

Guests receive a cordial welcome from Maureen and delicious Cornish goodies on arrival.

Step inside and discover a light and spacious interior furnished in a contemporary country style.

The open plan living room, with wood burner, incorporates a large squashy leather sofa, an oak dining table with pretty garden views and a kitchen packed with good quality appliances including a coffee maker.

Bedrooms feature sumptuous beds (which can be presented as doubles or twins) adorned with throws and cushions and tip top en-suite bathrooms.

Luxurious bed linens and thick fluffy towels are a given. Pets are very welcome and there is an enclosed tree lined meadow behind the property for exercising dogs.

Within easy reach of picturesque harbours, coves and beaches these cottages are an ideal choice for couples and families looking to explore Cornwall. The six properties include Morrane 960063 and Demelza Cottage 959879, which both accommodate four people. Omalast 959978, Bear Cottage 1012424, Be Our Guest Cottage 1008401 and Phoenix 959677 each accommodate 2 people. Altogether the six cottages sleep 16 people. A dog owners’ paradise: each of these pet-friendly properties has access to a dedicated dog walking field. Perfect for a game of fetch or late night ‘walkies’. The nearby cathedral city of Truro has a theatre, cinema, an abundance of restaurants and coffee houses, serving pasties and cream teas. Truro Cathedral is a Victorian Gothic revival, dating back to the late 19th century and showcases a look into historical architecture. Work up an appetite after a round of golf, or hop on the river cruise to the vibrant harbour town of Falmouth and enjoy one of the Cornish ales from the many traditional inns. Hire a bike and explore the woodlands from the cottage; ramblers and four legged friends will enjoy the scenic traffic free trails to the harbour and beach at Portreath on the Atlantic coast. Venture a little further to visit St Agnes and beautiful Trevaunance Cove, where the coastal path continues its way to Perranporth with its popular stretch of golden sands. With its eclectic range of art galleries, bars, restaurants, cinema, theatre, museum and outstanding cathedral this small city is a superb year round destination. Steeped in history and intriguing architecture there is always plenty to do and see. Just meandering through the Georgian cobbled streets is a pleasure in itself. With many peaceful parks all within a short stroll from the centre it is a most relaxing city to visit. A wonderful day trip can be had from Truro to Falmouth along the stunning Fal estuary with many options to disembark and pick up the boat later along the scenic river trip.
