The property

Set in a rural location although less than a 15 minute drive to the North coast, which boasts beautiful beaches and coastal walks.

The guest book is full of outstanding reviews from couples and families alike - this smart period barn is situated off the beaten track amidst a scenic, rural landscape the sandy beaches of Portreath and Porthowan are just over 6 miles away. Contemporary, stylish and traditionally comfortable, Mynheer Farm Barn occupies a peaceful location on this former dairy farm for a truly relaxing break and is central and convenient for touring this beautiful county.

The local village pub, which serves good food, and the open air amphitheatre at Gwennap Pit, which holds concerts in summer, are within easy walking distance.

The local area is steeped in mining history and all around is good walking and cycling country.

Scenic rambles and energetic bike rides can begin from the front door step and along the National Cycle Route 3 which passes nearby.

Mynheer Farm Barn offers guests a good level of privacy, only neighboured by the owners' property and another holiday property Mynheer Farm Bowji. At the front of the Barn is a sheltered patio with granite flag-stones with access to a barbecue and adjacent to the property is 5.5 acres of field including a shared, grassed picnic area with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside, a fabulous space for outdoor fun with the family.

Walk into the ground floor where comfort is guaranteed, the living area has a wood burner and the kitchen is modern and very well equipped.

On the first floor are two attractive en-suite bedrooms.

The double room has large picture windows which afford captivating views across the fields and, for flexibility, the second bedroom can be presented with a king size bed or a twin (with 2'6 beds).

With board games, books and a cosy wood burner, this property is great for all seasons.

The iconic coastal resort of St Ives and popular visitor hotspots at the cathedral city of Truro, the maritime town of Falmouth and the picturesque village of St Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive.

REDRUTH

Falmouth 10.5 miles; St Ives 16 miles.

Redruth is a small town in Cornwall, dating in parts from the 12th century. It was once the centre of Cornish mining history and is now at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a selection of shops, pubs and eateries, and the town holds a variety of continental markets throughout the year. Attractions close to Redruth include the Carn Brea Trail, The Great Flat Load, which is fantastic for cyclist and dog walkers alike, Tolgus Tin Stream Works, and the Tehidy Country Park. The beach at Portreath is a 10 minute drive, or 2.5 miles from Redruth. The entire stunning North coast is a suburb playground for surfing and all watersports, with resorts such as St Ives, Falmouth, the Roseland Peninsula and the whole Lizard Peninsula within easy reach.
