Michael “We had a fantastic holiday, the apartment was definitely the best we have stayed in, great location, there was everything you need in the apartment and a lovely garden, we had a lovely welcome from the owners cream teas and fresh flowers.”
We will definitely be making a return visit, and would recommend it to anyone.

Very well equipped, clean and comfortable accommodation. Convenient for towns and attractions in the area. Shop within walking distance. Cream tea and milk in fridge on arrival greatly appreciated. Excellent hosts. Would recommend and return. Driveway could be challenging for larger vehicles.

Hazel “My husband and I had a really enjoyable week at this apartment it was perfect for us, comfortable accommodation, spotlessly clean, no problems at all and whilst sat in the lounge very open outlook to a lovely garden.”
Easy walking distance to local pub that served good food. Did not need to use our car all the time as local bus very prompt and reasonably priced. We managed to go to Torquay, Paignton and Brixham and no parking issues ! Jill and Michael very helpful and we would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at their property.

I would recommend this cottage to anyone though getting out of the parking space requires a little practice. Overall a great place to stay.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming, there was a Devon cream tea awaiting us on arrival and milk in the fridge which was very thoughtful. It is a great base for exploring the area, including Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Dartmouth, Dartmoor etc. We had plenty to do and see every single day of our holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't recommend a break at Garden View highly enough. 10/10

Jill and Michael (the owners) are really friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the cream tea, flowers and milk that were there on our arrival. We were lucky weather wise and spent every day revisiting places along the coast that we knew well. The apartment is very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We are sure we will return to Garden View in the future.

Jeni “Despite the dreadful weather whilst staying at the cottage the welcome was very warm and cosy.”
The owner who lives upstairs greeted us on arrival and was extremely helpful. The cottage was immaculate and every care had obviously been taken to make it feel like a home from home. The shared garden was lovely and would have been ideal for having breakfast etc if the weather had been better. It is very quiet and peaceful and well placed for local amenities and places to go. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend this cottage.

Huge bedroom with loads of wardrobe space to put belongings. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of. A lovely cream tea was waiting for us on arrival as well as fresh flowers and some milk in the fridge. The owners were very nice, helpful and friendly. Great location for getting out and about. Highly recommended.

Andrew “Exceeded expectations.”
We went off season, just as self catering opened after the full lockdown. We were delighted to be able to come to Garden View as we books months before. The many small touches (fresh flowers, cream tea, on arrival etc) meant our expectations were exceeded. We made good use of the short walk booklet they provided giving us doorstep and less local walks for morning and afternoon. In addition to our planned walks. The view from the garden is lovely. And a great suntrap. The kitchen is small but was well appointed and adequate to cook our meals each day. The bedroom is large and main room a nice size. It was pleasant that the kitchen was separate. Add the utility room and you have all you need. The Shower room is great and while the water pressure isn't high it is adequate. Reversing out of the drive could be a challenge for some but I didn't find it a significant problem (I have reversing camera and sensors). We mixed our stay between very local, coastal and dartmoor walks with town visits. Making this a perfect location. Our hosts were great and a lovely couple. The accommodation was pristine and had just been redecorated. I highly recommend staying here and there is so much to do we will happily stay here again.

Spotlessly clean. Very well equipped. Nice touch with cream scone and flowers in apartment. Nearby to all attractions ie Torquay,Brixham,Teignmouth. Plenty of supermarkets and a small Co-op in the village. Ate at the Hare and Hounds food brilliant drinks rather pricey. Visited the model village in Babbacombe brilliant.

They were very uncomfortable, sagging in the middle and hard on the hips when you lay on your side. I had to put some foam on top to get some sleep. They could do with replacing. When you have been out walking all day, you need a comfortable bed to sleep on.

Nothing is to much trouble them. from the lovely flowers and the cream tea as a welcome gesture, at one visit I needed a dentist, low and behold Gillian came to my rescue. If we asked for the moon I think they would try to reach it that's how helpful they are.

A beautiful village in Devon that is an excellent place for a holiday. Kingskerswell has stunning views towards Dartmoor National Park, characterful buildings and a great history waiting to be discovered. In terms of amenities, there is a range of shops and pubs as well as a Post Office, the village also boasts 6 churches including one dating back to the 14th century. It is a great place for walkers to visit, with a woodland bordering the village as well as easy access to several walking trails nearby, the Dartmoor National Park is also nearby and well worth visiting. Devon is a place brimming with fantastic places to go, Newton Abbott with its shopping and wonderful architecture, Torquay with its beautiful harbour and activities and Exeter are all within easy access and well worth a visit.
