The property

2 miles from Bideford, quietly situated on the edge of a valley, is Pillhead Farm, a 130 acre working sheep farm with paddocks and plenty of space for guests to roam.

Within the original farmstead are four cottages carefully converted from barns and the oldest part of the original farmhouse.

The cottages share the grounds, a splendid outdoor heated swimming pool (15' x 30' x 4' to 5' deep) with paddling pool (10' x 9' x 1'6" deep), available from the Friday immediately preceding the last bank holiday in May to the first Friday in September, a sunbathing terrace (loungers) and mown orchard.

Each cottage is individual and spacious with its own outside space.

Arrival after 5pm.

Pretty Garden Cottage comprises a wing of the original farmhouse.

To one side, your own well-planted and quite private, enclosed garden (picnic table) with a private hot tub looking out over fields.

From the courtyard, steps up to front door and hall, off which a step down to dining room and views over the garden and another step down to smart kitchen (dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric cooker).

Comfortable, elegant living room with big fireplace (woodburner) and TV/DVD.

Upstairs, huge landing to three bedrooms - a king-size double (four-poster bed, TV) with en suite shower-room (suite), a twin with TV and view of the garden and, up a step, another twin (TV/DVD).

Bathroom (suite, shower over bath plus hand-shower).
