    “We’ve had a truly lovely stay at Burlodge in Devon.”

    The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well appointed, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing break. The beds and sofas are incredibly comfortable, making it easy to properly switch off and unwind. The setting is peaceful and idyllic, surrounded by open fields and fishing lakes, all tucked away behind secure gates which makes it feel very private and safe. The outdoor space is just as impressive as the inside, ...

    The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well appointed, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing break. The beds and sofas are incredibly comfortable, making it easy to properly switch off and unwind. The setting is peaceful and idyllic, surrounded by open fields and fishing lakes, all tucked away behind secure gates which makes it feel very private and safe. The outdoor space is just as impressive as the inside, with a hot tub, comfortable outdoor sofas and a great BBQ area which is perfect for relaxing evenings in the summer. We were especially touched by the lovely hamper on arrival filled with snacks. Local tea and coffee, milk and prosecco was also provided which we thought such a lovely gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. It’s clear a lot of care goes into making guests feel at home. The friendly dogs and the pony were a real highlight and loved a bit of fuss, which added to the charm of the stay. Zena and her family go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect and that guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Nothing is too much trouble, and their attention to detail really makes Burlodge feel special. If you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable and beautifully presented place to stay in Devon, Burlodge is an absolute gem. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Burlodge is set within private grounds and immaculately furnished with carefully curated furniture sourced from the owners travels, and provides a tranquil retreat for those looking for a peaceful holiday.

The tall glazed windows create a sense of connection between the interior living space and the outdoor dining area and kitchen, and the private hot tub is situated in a secluded area of the garden next to lounging furniture, ideal for sunny days.

The living space flows around a central pillar, providing areas to relax, dine and cook, or recline to watch a movie or read a book.

The kitchen has a sociable island ideal for spending time together when preparing a meal.

When night falls choose between two well appointed bedrooms, a king-size room next to a stylish shower room with exotic plants and exposed brickwork, or the second king-size bedroom with it's own en-suite shower room accessed via a sliding barn style door.

Burlodge sits within the owners grounds and guests are able to enjoy peaceful pastures shared with 2 miniature ponies, Morris and Dillon, as well as a wooded glen which leads to a lake stocked with carp for those who enjoying fishing.

Burlands is a calm oasis that only permits adult guests, located conveniently near the sandy beaches of North Devon and popular Tavistock.
