“Unfortunately our stay at Myrtle House was disappointing.”

I had read the reviews of previous guests about cleanliness and maintenance and trusted that these would have been dealt with but they weren't. Upon arrival I had to call the property manager to say that the property did not appear to have been cleaned. It was appreciated that cleaners came swiftly and it did make a difference. I had read the reviews of previous guests about cleanliness and maintenance and trusted that these would have been dealt with but they weren't. Upon arrival I had to call the property manager to say that the property did not appear to have been cleaned. It was appreciated that cleaners came swiftly and it did make a difference. However, the issues that other guests have mentioned still persist - dirty cushions for the outdoor seating rammed in the downstairs toilet, broken toilet seat (and window propped up by toilet roll), shower that doesn't drain (unsustainable with 6 people having daily showers), filthy windows (ad to keep curtains drawn they were so disgusting), dirty garden (did not bother to sit outside or let the dog out either). It's a shame; it could be a lovely property to stay at but it doesn't seem any care and attention is dedicated to it's upkeep.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. The windows have been cleaned, but unfortunately, due to the property's seafront location, we occasionally experience seagull mess, which can be difficult to prevent. The garden cushions are regularly washed, and we store them in the downstairs bathroom to protect them from outdoor elements. The toilet seat was promptly fixed by our maintenance team on the day of your check-in. We appreciate your comments and will continue to work on improving our guests' experience. Property Owner
