“This was a fabulous house with everything you could need.”

The views were stunning. The road leading to it and the parking was a bit tricky but all in all a beautiful place to stay.

The property

This contemporary property sits in an elevated position along a steep and narrow road with sea views in the delightful village of Combe.

Presented to an excellent standard over two floors, Beach View provides a sumptuous escape for a family of eight seeking a coastal escape to Devon.

The open-plan living space is bright and airy, courtesy of the floor to ceiling windows that provide an outlook to the beach and sea.

Take a seat on the L-shaped sofa and flick on the TV for entertainment, whilst the chef of the group takes over the kitchen and prepares a hearty dish, finished with sleek units and integrated appliances.

Take a bottle from the wine chiller and pour yourself a drink to take out to the decked area, whilst there is also a lower patio adjacent to the parking area, and a hot tub that offers an idyllic spot to unwind in the evenings.

The first bedroom lies on the ground-floor and offers a twin, whilst there is also a king-size with en-suite shower off the living area, whilst upstairs plays host to two king-sized bedrooms, both with velux windows providing excellent views and convenient en-suite shower rooms.

From the door, take a short walk down to the award-winning Combe Martin Beach, providing excellent swimming conditions due to its sheltered position, plus there’s lots of rock pools for the little ones to explore.

When you don’t fancy cooking, there’s a host of welcoming eateries to choose from, including The Castle Inn, The Pack O’Cards, and The Bakers Bistro to name a few, whilst there is also a Co-Op supermarket where you can pick up any essentials.

Join the South West Coast Path and scale along the craggy coastline, see the animals at the Combe Martin Wildlife Park or join the historic Earl of Rone festival held each May.

Escape further afield and discover Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, bustling seaside resorts with their own character, charm and beaches.

Choose Beach View for an exceptional base in North Devon.
