    “This is a beautiful cottage with beautiful surroundings we would definitely return,if I am being fussy the only small critique was that the games room to small for the pool table as you can't cue around it with a full size cue and it could definitely do with recover but otherwise we loved it.”

Once inside, relax in the living room in front of the wood stove after a day of sightseeing, and then use the kitchen's contemporary appliances to whip up a feast for the whole family to eat at the dining room table or alfresco on the patio.

Later, as the sky fills with stars, take a relaxing dip in the hot tub before heading to the downstairs bathroom to shower off the day's excursions.

Four sumptuous bedrooms await your return after the day, including a king-size and a single on the ground floor, as well as a double, and a twin on the first floor.

If you can bear to leave this peaceful home, go grocery shopping in the nearby market town of Crediton, and then take a break from cooking at one of the local pubs like The Ship Hotel, The Three Little Pigs, or The Red Deer.

Visit the Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life or the National Trust's Killerton, a fine house with extensive grounds overlooking the river.

Nearby, in Exeter, are a plethora of sights, such as Northernhay Gardens, Belmont Park, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, and the fascinating medieval vaulted passages beneath the city.

CREDITON

Exeter 8.5 miles.

A busy market town 8.5 miles north west of the cathedral city of Exeter, and situated in an area of Devon known as “Red Devon” so called because of the distinctive red soil which is of prime agricultural quality, and excellent for growing swedes. This is a rural area of Devon which is tranquil, unspoilt and where ruby cattle are seen grazing amongst the rolling green meadows. There are many scattered villages with welcoming inns, well stocked farm shops and friendly locals. Crediton has a wide range of shops selling gifts and groceries, a fabulous farmers’ market, modern leisure centre and plenty of family friendly pubs. Crediton is less than 10 miles from Dartmoor National Park which provides excellent walking and horse riding opportunities and a half hour drive from the beautiful city of Exeter where there are theatres, stunning cathedral, shopping malls, and historic quay with waterfront cafes, antique shops and bars.
