It is a lovely house, clean , comfortable and homely ,as always.
However, on this occasion there was a major issue. On arrival at the house I found that the key safe number I was given did not work. After phoning Sykes I eventually spoke to someone who initially said that they could not help me as I did not have my booking reference number. They eventually checked the records and found that the key safe number had been changed, and I had not been notified of it, a verbal apology was made and I was given the correct code. I do not know where the fault lies, but you surely will. It was a very distressing start to my holiday, and I would like this feedback to be seen as a formal complaint
Thank you for this comment and I am really sorry that you had such a distressing start to your holiday. The Sykes booking system should generate an e-mail to all future bookings when the key-code is changed, I will investigate with Sykes to see why this did not happen. I sincerely hope this will not put you off returning as we really appreciate your repeat booking custom. UPDATE: I have raised this with Sykes who have acknowledged that the auto-generated e-mail did not work, they have raised with their software team to resolve. I understand they have contacted you directly to resolve your complaint. Hope to have you back as a guest again soon.
