    “Wow,this is the best holiday let we have stayed in.”

    Everything you need for a perfect,relaxing holiday .very comfortable warm and welcoming,a lovely garden to sit and relax with a coffee or glass of wine.The hosts are a lovely couple ,there if you need anything.The area is very peaceful,it is only 5 min from town in a car or approx 30 min walk which we have done, the only negative was we had to go home at the end of the week.So we have booked another 2 weeks for next year. Thank you so much Hedley and Megan for a wonderful holiday

The property

On the edge of Exmouth, about 2 miles from the seafront, 11/3 miles from the estuary and cycle trail and ½ mile by footpath from Nat.

Trust’s A la Ronde, a smart ground-floor apartment, refurbished with much thought, comfortable and welcoming.

With own entrance and sheltered, sunny garden behind (paved/gravelled terraces, table/chairs), it is attached to but private from the friendly owners’ bungalow.

From shared drive (parking) at the front, own side gate and paved path with 2 steps down to terrace and small step up to entrance porch.

Glazed doors to neat living/dining room with electric ‘living flame’ fire, TV/DVD/Blu-ray and comfy upholstered rattan sofa/chairs.

Smart galley-style kitchen (microwave, washing machine, fridge.

Double bedroom (zip-linked 6' bed or twin), prettily furnished with distant glimpse of the sea; shower-room (suite, small step up to cubicle).

No children, except pre-crawling babies.

Conveniently all on one level; a neat and comfortable base for exploring east Devon’s coast. Exmouth: seaside town (shops, pubs, club, PO, cinema, theatre) at the mouth of the River Exe with a long, fine sandy beach.

Virtually everything within walking distance.

Sailing/windsurfing schools, birdwatching, coastal/estuary walks, golf, all nearby.

Exe Estuary Trail (cycling/walking) to Exeter.

Seasonal pedestrian/cycle ferry to Starcross.

Railway station.

Exeter by road, 8 miles; Dartmoor, 20.

About the location

EXMOUTH

Exeter 11.5 miles.

On the eastern bank of the estuary of the River Exe, Exmouth has everything required by the visitor for a relaxing break. A thriving coastal town with a nationally renowned bird sanctuary, close to miles of sandy beaches, superb coastal walking, with everything for the fisherman and sailor, close to Exeter and with much to do and see - this all contributes to the town’s attraction. In addition to messing about on boats, lazing on the beach or taking the ferry up the estuary or to Dawlish Warren nature reserve, there’s always Crealy Park theme park, Bicton Park stately home and gardens, the Donkey Sanctuary at nearby Sidmouth, Woodbury Common, the cathedral city of Exeter, the Sandy Bay World of Country Life and the all absorbing Jurassic Coast with its famous fossil deposits stretching eastwards into Dorset. In terms of visitor attractions and coastal lifestyle you won’t find much better than Exmouth.
