“What a fantastic property in the most serene surroundings.”

The garden is huge which our two dogs loved! The inside of the bungalow is spacious and has everything you would need, a stunning kitchen and living / dining room and a little snug with TV and log burner which was lovely. The main bathroom was so luxurious with a great shower! Hole Park is a great place to explore Devon from, and Bude in Cornwall not far either. We felt so relaxed and happy here and for the first time ever I was quite emotional having to leave. Even our dogs are sulking being ...

The main bathroom was so luxurious with a great shower! Hole Park is a great place to explore Devon from, and Bude in Cornwall not far either. We felt so relaxed and happy here and for the first time ever I was quite emotional having to leave. Even our dogs are sulking being home now having spent many a day running around on the lovely beaches or exploring towns and villages. This is the type of property others will find very hard to compete with - I’ve booked several cottages over the last few years each time in February and Hole Park is the only one I’d return to with the drop of a hat time and time again. It was just the two of us with our two dogs and we had so much space to feel at home in and storage , something that is hard to find. The owners Sharon and Phil are two lovely people who were so friendly and helpful. We loved it! Would recommend to anyone who values peace and quiet but likes to explore! We will be back!

They wouldn’t stop running!! Hole was left beautifully tidy for which we are hugely grateful. We always try and let people check in early when possible and having lovely guests who look after it makes that possible because we can turn it around faster. “Well what can I say about hole park.”

It's the most magical, beautiful bungalow and grounds we've stayed in. It sleeps 7, there was only two of us plus 2 dogs, but we never felt as if it was too big. We were always warm and cosy. The bungalow is very well laid out...the master bedroom is huge with lovely double doors leading onto a balcony...there's an ensuite with bath and shower and there's plenty of storage room too. The bed was so comfy. The main bathroom has the most wonderful shower which we used most of the time. We did have a peek at the other bedrooms which were all very roomy and beautiful. The kitchen was absolutely wonderful with soooo much room to store things and the window seat is lovely just to sit and look at the views. My favourite room is the dining/morning room with it's huge windows looking out to the gardens. Sitting there on a morning watching the sun come up over the lake was just so beautiful. There is another toilet and sink off this room which is handy if there are a few more people staying there. There is a utility that you walk into from the front door which is great when you have Been out all day and you can just leave your boots there. We fed our dogs in there too. The grounds were also huge with a wrap around garden and then a beautiful laid lawn area with fencing all around. The lake is also the owners where their cows drink from, this is all fenced off so dogs or children can not get to it although we still had to watch our smaller dog as she did get through the fence a couple of times so we kept her to the top of the garden by the bungalow or on a long lead down the bottom. Perhaps a bit of wire fencing over the original fencing at the bottom would stop any small dogs getting through. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owners Sharon and Phil and a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us which was much appreciated. Everything about hole park was just fantastic so if you want solitude, relaxation and to just chill out and you don't mind travelling to places then this is the place to go. Our dogs loved it too and the weather was fabulous, we were very lucky to have the sunshine everyday.....thank you Sharon and Phil for letting out this fabulous place we will definitely be back.

“This is a lovely holiday bungalow and the views from the windows are delightful.”

What really strikes you is the amazing amount of space on offer and the homely feel of the place. The beds were really comfortable and the attention to detail was amazing even down to the nightlights to guide you down the corridor at night. The only negative I can think of is the fact that there was no mirror in our bedroom (kingsize without en-suite) but that’s easily sorted. We had a wonderful stay and I will keep an image of the beautiful view from the sun room window in my mind for ever. A truly amazing place and would love to come back.

“We have had a great time at The Hole and were made very welcome by the owners.”

Everything you needed was provided for and the dogs really enjoyed the beautiful garden. We were a party of three families so there were areas indoors for everyone to have a quiet space if they wanted it and room to all be together in comfort too. Would certainly recommend The Hole to future guests

“I dont usually send reviews, but felt we had to after this holiday.”

From arriving early at the property, thanks to Sharron and cleaners to the sadness of having to leave this amazing location. Its more than just the property, the setting is amazing in lovely gardens and very quiet. Everything and more we could wish for within the property. One little issue was very quickly sorted, which wasnt the fault of the owners. A mechanical issue, spare part was quickly obtained and fault sorted. The owners Sharron and Phil are such a friendly couple coming to meet us and say hello, any issues please let us know. We were invited to attend a milking session and even feed the young calves. Wouldnt hessitate to go back, now the cat is out of the bag to this amazing place I’m sure we will have trouble in future booking it. You’ll be sorry if you dont. PS one thought we had and mentioned to Sharron was the lack of a hoover to pick up bits through out the week. Her reply was your on holiday we didnt want you to have to feel you needed to hoover up just relax. Thanks for an amzing break. Bobby says Hi!.

“Whole park was beautiful.”

Clean, comfortable. Everything we needed. The owners were really good hosts. Even rang one evening as it got chilly told us to put the heating up and turn the range on they didn’t want us to be cold. The garden was fantastic and well maintained which our dog absolutely loved. Would definitely stay again. Couldn’t fault anything. We have stay in 9 cottages in and around this area. This is the best by far. It was quiet and peaceful. Didn’t want to come home. Home from home. Loved the sun room the views were beautiful

“Absolutely and easily the best holiday home we have stayed in, over 14 years holidaying in Devon and Cornwall.”

Hole Park is a hidden gem, placed in beautiful countryside with a view from every window, we will 100% go back again. Sharon and Phil are amazing and awesome people, they bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. We forgot our dog food on the first night when we arrived, and Sharon popped back to the farm to get us some so that we didn't have to go out at 8.30pm to get some. We got to see the cows being milked and played croquet on the front lawn. Awesome holiday and one we will remember for ever.
