Lovely bottle of wine for our enjoyment provided. The property, itself, has been beautifully built out of an old farm building and is warm, clean and very well appointed and equipped. Lovely bottle of wine for our enjoyment provided. The property, itself, has been beautifully built out of an old farm building and is warm, clean and very well appointed and equipped. Would say it is perfect for a couple although there are two lovely double bedrooms with modern ensuite bathroom facilities. Bit of a lack of privacy for two couples but probably ok for a few days. Very nice kitchen and excellent laundry. Plenty of parking. It is a little remote and you need to follow some very narrow Devon lanes to reach the property but once there is is peaceful and so very comfortable. Would recommend this property.

Situated within the Dartmoor National Park, on a working farm just outside Bridford, Devon is The Coach House at Thorn Farm.

This stylish stable conversion is ideal for a small family or two couples and is home to a wealth of quality and character features, including exposed stone walls and beams, a staircase crafted from ash, reclaimed from the farm, and all the home comforts you need for a self-catering stay.

Private driveway parking greets you on arrival, before making your way into the ground-floor space, which hosts a handy utility area to keep your clothes refreshed.

From here, climb the stairs to the open-plan living space, sure to be the social hub during your stay.

The kitchen has all you need to enjoy memorable suppers, while the open plan dining space welcomes you to prepare your meals with conversation flowing.

Unwind in the sitting area with a film on the Smart TV, or perhaps just enjoy each other's company with a board game and glass of wine.

As you grow tired, refresh before bed in the en-suites; the double room has a shower room, while the master king-size plays host to a freestanding bath for a much-needed soak after a busy day of exploring.

An external door leading to the garden is a feature of both bedrooms; take care descending the stone steps that lead down to the outdoor dining area and bask in the sun, or venture off to explore the charming paddocks and working-farm grounds.

When you're ready to explore beyond the idyllic grounds, you can find an abundance of walking and cycling routes in the area, with the nearest point of interest being Heltor Rock, where picture-perfect views of the national park can be seen.

The village centre of Bridford is also nearby with its Inn and Woodland Park.

For a day exploring the area's waterfalls, find Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park and Canonteign Falls within reach by car, a perfect day out with a picnic.

If the city is more your style, you can spend a day shopping in Exeter, while if you want some seaside fun, travel a little further to the Exmouth coast.
