“May Blossom Barn is an extremely well appointed and comfortable holiday cottage and we had a very enjoyable stay there.”

We've stayed on Dartmoor dozens of times and usually go for more remote locations but the benefit of the location of this property is the easy access to many parts of the moor without 'squeezing' and reversing down lots of narrow lanes (which we don't mind but it can get wearing). We've stayed on Dartmoor dozens of times and usually go for more remote locations but the benefit of the location of this property is the easy access to many parts of the moor without 'squeezing' and reversing down lots of narrow lanes (which we don't mind but it can get wearing). The lounge and bedrooms were very comfortable; the log burner was easy and efficient to use. The kitchen was very well appointed and we got used to the Rayburn (we had one years ago in our first house) which does take longer to heat up than a conventional oven and the top shelf is slightly hotter than the bottom one (obviously, with no fan). It was part of slowing down for the week. A bit of care is needed entering and leaving the drive because it's near a bend but the road isn't particularly busy. All in all it is an excellent property and we wouldn't hesitate to book it again.
