High on a hill above South Sands beach in Salcombe is this big impressive detached house.
Standing in its own garden and in prime position in one of the UK's most stunning towns, this is exceptional accommodation for families or groups of friends.
From the parking area off a private lane, head down the steps into the smart hall, off which you will find a splendid big kitchen, extremely well equipped and with a big dining area which opens to a large enclosed deck where you can sit with evening drinks and take in the amazing views of the estuary.
Double doors open to the sitting room, also with those views and an open fire to gather round and watch TV or listen to the Sonos music system.
On this level you have a handy twin bedroom (zip-link), or take the stairs up to five further bedrooms, all with fantastic views over the sea.
The master double is especially beautiful.
On the top floor, the children will love sharing the big en suite room with lots of beds, where they can sleep and play table top football as well.
Outside the garden is as spectacular as the interior, with 1½ steep acres of space where you can wander, sit, sunbathe, play table tennis or head down the steps and through the garden to the lovely beach.
You may not want to venture further than this lovely house and garden and the beach below, but if the mood takes you, wander into fascinating Salcombe town with its boutique shops, great restaurants and pubs.
Maybe hire a boat to explore the waterways, play tennis or go swimming in the seasonal outdoor pool.
The pedestrian ferry is fun to catch to East Portlemouth with more great beaches.
For a little exercise, it's no hardship to take to the South West Coast Path with wonderful coastal views and the occasional bench to take a breather, or perhaps head to nearby National Trust gardens for some green-fingered inspiration.
The Wood is a unique and very special haven for enjoying one of the loveliest spots you could imagine.
