A little further along, behind the iconic Ness headland is a small zoo and a former smugglers tunnel that leads down to a secret cove.
The larger resort town of Torquay is 7 miles along the coast, if it’s city life you’re after then the busy cathedral city of Exeter is 15 miles or if rugged landscapes are your thing then head for the wild rugged hills of Dartmoor National Park also within half an hours drive of this comfortable retreat.
