    “In the listing it is dog friendly.”

    Once we arrived the property description said no pets allowed upstairs or on furniture. This should have been specified in the listing especially as the listing states to bring blankets for the furniture. I found this quite upsetting as our dog is not used to being left downstairs alone and became quite distressed, as I think most animals would in a strange setting. I think this should be updated on the listing to avoid others having to deal with upset animals. The yard is fenced but there is a ...

The yard is fenced but there is a gap which our dog found within a few mins so was unable to go out unattended. Other than this we had a lovely holiday, the walks around the area were great, especially to the pond and we were lucky enough to have snow.

    Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you were upset to find when you arrived that your dog was not allowed upstairs or on the furniture and that this was upsetting for your dog. The Terms of Business do advise guests of this but we wanted to let you know that we have now made this clearer in the website text for future guests. We haven't been able to find where it says on the website to bring blankets for the furniture. We have tried mending the gap in the fence but as we do not say that the garden is totally dog proof, we would advise that dogs are not left unattended, as we all know, they can find their way out of the smallest gap. Aside from this we are glad that you had a lovely holiday and were able to enjoy the many local walks in the snow. Property Owner

THROWLEIGH

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Chagford is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure. It is a village of great history, home to the Three Crowns Hotel which dates back to the 1200's. Chagford is well known for its culture, hosting film, literary and music festivals in the village as well as an annual running race. Just over 15 miles away is the bustling, beautiful city of Exeter for a different kind of break, definitely worth a visit. The charming, attractive town of Okehampton sits just 12 miles away.
