“Lovely property, well located near to the beach, bars, eateries and supermarkets.”

Although the property can sleep 6 there was only two of us so plenty of room! Good facilities and a well equipped kitchen. Peaceful area and a parking space. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Thanks!

Fitted perfectly with our needs, with each of us having our own bathroom. Would certainly stay there again and recommend it to friends and family. Just a note for the owner , the latch on the lounge door is broken and needs renewing. No big issue though. Regards Steve

Very well equipped a bit to warm for us not used to underfloor heating , only thing wrong is the description of the property it is not semi detached it is terraced thus neighbours each side not just the one we had no problems but when buyer of number eleven take ownership there may be .

“My only observation is that we did not find the twin beds in the downstairs bedroom very comfortable.”

As this room is probably used a lot by Grandparents beds a bit more conducive to age 60 plus would have suited us better. So saying the house was a great design and the upstairs bedroooms were lovely especially the master bedroom and so much equipment that a holiday home requires. Great drying spaces too. So convenient for Crooklets beach and the beach cafe which we frequented for coffees, cakes, meals, drinks. Plus not too far to Summerleaze beach and the sea pool either. Lovely seafront walks. Also easy walking to Sainsburys ( corner shop!!!) and the town. A lovely quiet spot band ideal for a stay in glorious Bude.

“Perfect location for the south west coastal path.”

Lovely house in quiet location, well equipped, walking distance to shops, supermarkets and beach. Off road parking is a bonus too. Would have stayed longer if it had been available. Loved my sunset walks on the beach. Thanks for a great stay.

Has it's own parking space in a quiet residential area, but only a 5 minute walk to the beach & a 10-15 minute stroll to Sainsbury's & the town centre. Is well equipped & great with the floor to ceiling patio doors, making it light & with a nice view. Caretaker was very helpful when I needed help to work out the heating system. Will stay there again when next visiting Bude.

“Great holiday cottage, only a few minutes walk and you are on the beach which was fantastic.”

House was lovely, very comfortable and clean. Living space might be a bit crowded with 6 adults but perfect for 2 or 4 or families with younger children. We had great weather so ideal location for dog walks on the beach or along the coastal path. Lovely not to have to always get in the car.

Main bed could do with an upgrade (not used the raised edges) other than that perfect!!! small issues just FYI, upstairs bathroom shower dripping, bath panel lose. fridge makes a high pitch noise (off putting while watching TV). Thank you

“Spacious modern house situated on the quieter side of Bude, less than 5 mins walk to Crooklets beach or to reach the coastal path along the cliff tops to the north of Bude.”

Easy walk through open green space uphill to Sainsbury's or Co-op at the top of town and then down the main high street, to the canal and Castle areas. One parking space available directly outside the property at the end of the carports. But there was always a space for the second car on a nearby road, even in the school summer holidays. Well equipped accommodation with some added extras. Comfortable beds and great to have three showers, plus a washer, dryer and rotary dryer in the back garden. Good communication from Kelvin the caretaker. We had a lovely week in beautiful Bude despite the variable weather and definitely enhanced by the convenient location of The Loft. Highly recommended.

The property

In a quiet close in Bude, 400 yards from the wide expanse of golden sand (rock pools) of Crooklets beach and the Coast Path, two modern, semi-detached houses on three floors with long views to Maers Down.

Golf course, shops, cafés and restaurants are a few hundred yards away, with Bude's second huge beach (Summerleaze), 800 yards.

Brilliantly convenient houses for the beach and exploring Cornwall and manageable without a car.

Coach/bus stop, 700 yards.

The Loft has a neat, enclosed lawn with patio (picnic bench).

Inside, the house is light, fresh and comfortable.

Hall and ground-floor twin bedroom (limited clothes-hanging space), opposite a shower-room (suite); plenty of space for coats/shoes and back door to garden.

Stairs up to living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer, gas hob/electric oven) with nautical fabrics, TV/DVD and patio windows to balustrade.

Stairs (stairgate) up to two more bedrooms - a double (5'2" bed with footboard) with patio windows to balustrade, en suite shower-room (suite) and small TV, and a children's twin (2'6" x 5'10" beds); bathroom (suite, shower over bath).

Bude: small, friendly resort with two magnificent sand/surf beaches (Summerleaze, Crooklets), natural sea water bathing pool, lots of grassy running-about space behind them, and canal through middle for boating, coarse fishing and swans.

About the location

BUDE

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
