    “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodpecker Lodge, it was very clean , comfortable and modern.”

    Their was everything we needed for our stay their. Fiona & Gary were very friendly and on hand if there was anything we should need. They also left a nice hamper,to start our stay off, the cakes were delicious . Our 2 dogs enjoyed it to. We hope to go back another time. Very nice.

Henley is found near the welcoming Somerset towns of Langport and Somerton.

A finalist in 2016 Great British High Street competition, Langport boasts an thriving independent foodie scene.

The historic town of Somerton offers an ideal base to relax, enjoy lovely food, beautiful scenery and old town charm and elegant architecture.

The work of local artists and crafts people is exhibited in the old Town Hall, and celebrated with the annual Summer Arts Festival in mid-July.

Ashcott hosts no less than five pubs, along with its own brewery, as well as a shop.

The well-known town of Glastonbury sits just over eight miles away from the hamlet of Henley, Wells is 14 miles away; from places packed with character and well worth a day of exploration.

The ancient market town of Langport lies at the heart of the Somerset levels, at the crossing point of the River Parrett, mid-way between the county town of Taunton and Yeovil. Its central location makes it a thriving hub for local villages and an ideal base to explore the surrounding area, as well as the Somerset Levels, one of England’s most unchanged Landscapes. The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The surrounding countryside teeming with pretty villages and quiet country lanes with footpaths and cycle trails to explore the picturesque Somerset Levels.
