“Such a shame, this apartment has the potential to be a 5* boutique bolthole.”

The welcome nibbles etc were a lovely touch. The built in fixtures and fitting are gorgeous, but some of the furniture and facilities sadly fell short . Firstly, our initial impression was of a tatty unkempt outside. Weeds and overgrown. Filthy windows, all very unappealing. Entering the apartment, it was attractive apart the from the plethora of mats and rugs. 7 I think, why??? But then we saw the cobwebs. Every corner top and bottom, spiders everywhere, behind the blinds, under the bed ...

Every corner top and bottom, spiders everywhere, behind the blinds, under the bed behind the clothes rail. Down the side of the basin and behind the bathroom door. The waste in the shower was gross. Obviously not had a proper clean in a long time. To add to that :- The sofa was not comfortable to relax on. The mattress on the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the mattress protector had staining No bathmat No hairdryer No iron and ironing board A lovely picnic basket to use, but nothing to put the picnic in. No tuppa ware, no foil, no clingfilm so no picnic for us. The Internet and TV? Dont advertise its there if it doesn't work. The tv is ridiculously small and buffered for the first 2 days, and we could only get iplayer. Completely crashed for the second 2 days and we were unable to watch anything at all including the England match. A dvd player might be a good idea? A broom would be useful so we could have swept the floor, No scissors for the kitchen No pint glasses A cafetiere or mention what coffee pods to bring, there was an old one on the machine, no idea how long that had been there. No full length mirror A fan in this heat would be extremely useful as there are no opening windows except in the bathroom Perhaps a decent Bluetooth speaker would be good. All in all, HUGE potential, but fell very short on home comforts. Thank goodness the weather was great and we could be outside. If the weather had been inclement this would have been miserable.
