“Loved the property very cosy and warm and the hot tub was lovely.”

Maintenance of hot tub and grounds was amazing. Listening to gibbons from nearby zoo each morning was beautiful. I can only say one negative thing and that was we didn't realise there was a sloped gravel path down to cottage from car which my Mom with walking issues had trouble with. Would just recommend anyone with mobility issues check they can manage the path before booking.

Set back from the road, this Washford cottage is one of several at Shells and is completely private, set in its own grounds.

The modern open plan living area of this Washford cottage is extremely well equipped and opens onto a wide wooden veranda overlooking the orchard, where you can sit and listen to the merry birdsong.

The bedrooms in this Washford cottage are all on ground level, with wooden laminate flooring, and the addition of a gorgeous Italian marble-lined wet room makes for stylish living.

Outside this Washford cottage there is a partially covered private hot tub, ideal for relaxing after a day out and about, taking part in the multitude of countryside activities in the area including fishing, golf, horse riding and walking the coastal path which starts at the pretty port of Watchet, 2 miles away.

There is also Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery and Co2 Pistol Shooting for larger groups to enjoy (advance bookings only, contact for more information).

Four miles away is the historic village of Dunster, where the NT-owned castle towers over the narrow winding cobbled streets of the village.

The family will love the beach resort of Minehead, a 15 minute drive from this Washford cottage, with a lengthy seafront, sandy beach, plenty of shops and a departure station for the West Somerset steam railway.
