    “The hut was lovely n clean in a lovely place the owner had lit the hot tub for me which was lovely and appreciated.”

    Lovely bottle of champagne on the table on the way in really nice. How ever the hut it self was so cold the temp on the wall said 5 degrees centigrade. There was no wall heating at all and the under floor heating was off and took till lunch time the next day to get up to 15c. The bed was lovely and comfortable but felt damp with the cold. May be the owner could have put the heating on the day before we arrived to keep it warm n damp free. How ever there was extra blankets available and I had ...

In the fridge there was 2 glass bottles of water one had frozen as it was so cold in side which I lifted out and it shattered into the sink as it thawed out. We are sorry about the heating, we always set it running in advance to make sure the hut is cosy for your arrival and we are sorry that it appeared to have not worked for your stay. We would always encourage guests to contact us directly on any of the numbers provided in the welcome email at any point during your stay as we are only down the lane and would have happily come straight over and checked the heating system and provided some extra heaters if needed. Morchard Bishop is a good size village located in Mid Devon. It is a very peaceful village set in stunning rural scenery about 10 miles from Crediton. Running through the heart of the village is the longest single spine of connected 16th and 17th century thatched cottages in England. Surrounding the village are a number of very scenic local walks, and the village itself is actually an integral part of the Two Moors Way, a walk connecting Dartmoor to the north and Exmoor to the South. Dartmoor National Park provides additional excellent walking, and horse riding opportunities. Close to Morchard Bishop there are many other scattered villages with welcoming inns, well-stocked farm shops, tea shops serving Devon cream teas and friendly locals. Crediton is a market town 10 miles from Morchard Bishop.
