The Linhay is a single-storey barn newly build property situated on the outskirts of Lapford, Devon.

Set on the border between Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, The Linhay offers a contemporary base for families and friends looking to get away to this part of rural mid-Devon.

Enjoy the open-plan living area with plenty of space and contemporary décor, the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the local area.

The kitchen with its integrated appliances, sitting area and dining table is perfect for entertaining, while the patio with its outdoor furniture is a great spot for soaking up the countryside views.

For restful nights, retire to one of the two bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities; the king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, while the twin bedroom has an en-suite shower.

When you're ready to explore, the local village of Lapford is home to a 16th century inn which serves great food and a convenience store selling the essentials.

The surrounding area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with a choice of Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, boasting beautiful moorland, woodland and rugged terrain, offering miles of scenic walking.

Crediton awaits just a few miles away, where you can find ancient monuments, including the Church of the Holy Cross and the Grade II listed Crediton Parish Church.

From here, you can also embark on the Tarka Trail, a walking and cycling path weaving through the tranquil landscapes of the area.

For an interesting day out, head to Tiverton, home to the National Trust's Knightshayes Country House, a 19th-century stately home with a wonderful gardens and grounds and the historic Grand Western Canal.

Or head to the local market town South Molton with a selection of independent shops and eateries.

A delightful, traditional village set between Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks in rural mid-Devon. The mid-Devon location leaves you spoilt for choice with moors, beaches and stunning Devon countryside to explore. This peaceful village is a great spot for a relaxing holiday with its 16th century pub and convenient SPAR shop. Lapford is an ancient village at it's heart - its origins can be traced back to the Iron Age Celts and it was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Lapford's playing field provides a great open space for ball games and there is a childrens playground. Lapford train station offers access to the many nearby charming mid-Devon towns and villages. The cosmopolitan city of Exeter with its wonderful architecture lies within 30 minutes driving distance. The nearest well-stocked town is Crediton just 9 miles away and a 20 minute drive.
