The property

Nestled on the coast of Somerset, in the bustling town of Watchet, is this delightful mews cottage.

9 Malthouse Court is the perfect base for exploring the coastline and surrounding unspoilt countryside areas.

Stepping inside, you will be greeted to a wonderful open-plan living space, with a range of seating so you can curl up with your loved ones of an evening while watching up with your favourite shows.

The kitchen has all the appliances you could need to rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal of an evening, with pristine white units and wooden worktops showcasing the level of quality this property has.

There is a small dining area, where you can enjoy family gatherings over a hearty meal, or planning the day's events.

Follow through to the staircase, leading up to the first floor, which houses two bedrooms: one double and one twin, both boasting wonderful views across the town, with a number of quality furnishings to store your personal items.

There is a family bathroom housing a bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day.

Outside has an enclosed courtyard garden with plenty of furniture, so you can sit out of an evening with a refreshing beverage.

Permit parking is available for one car.

While you're in the area, why not venture towards Tropiquaria Wildlife Park, a small tropical house and zoo, boasting a variety of exotic wildlife to discover, including reptiles, birds and an aquarium.

Visit the magnificent Quantock Hills, for some of the best countryside views around, with woodland and meadows and offering plenty of pathways for keen walkers.

For a taste of history, visit Cleeve Abbey, a small medieval monastery, which is a Grade I listed building and a scheduled monument.

Founded in the 12th century, this abbey was used as a house for monks and now showcases an exhibition about their life.

Minehead 9 miles.

Watchet is a delightful, small Somerset harbour town with a maritime history going back over two millennia, where visitors may enjoy the variety of quaint shops on offer and watch the boats in the marina. Watchet attracts railway enthusiasts from all around, as The West Somerset Railway, twenty miles of preserved steam railway, passes through Watchet and continues through stunning scenery to the coastal town of Minehead, approximately nine miles away. There are superb walks along the coast from Watchet, while towards St Audries in the east, the Quantock Hills rise to 1,000 feet above the sea and the Brendon Hills and Exmoor are to the west, within easy reach. Explore the many pretty coastal and inland villages including Porlock, with its steep hill and pretty winding streets, Dunster with its dramatic castle perched above the historic village and the busy resort of Minehead with its sandy beach, golf course and traditional seaside attractions. This is an excellent choice of holiday destination for rural beauty, dramatic coastline and splendid walking.
