“I have in recent years experienced two holiday cottages that failed to be described as advertised by Sykes.”
However this cottage exceeds all expectations. It was superb. It was brilliantly clean. (special thanks to the staff who clean the cottage!) The kitchen wanted for nothing, except perhaps a whisk! (But who uses a whisk when on holiday?) The furniture was comfortable to sit on and relax. Netflix was a welcome addition to the facilities.
The beds were just right. We all slept well.
The wet rooms were immaculate and very, very clean. There was sufficient cupboard space for clothes. Wooden hangers were in abundance.
The scones and jam and cream were a lovely touch as were the treats for the dogs that accompanied our friends. The addition of a dog field was welcomed by our 4 legged fiends and they really enjoyed the freedom to run around.
This house was located in an ideal position to access Cheddar,( although the Caves are at present closed the gorge is still worth a visit) Wookey Hole, Axbridge ( a little gem and worth and afternoon visit) Wells (the smallest city in England, but not small on attractions, lots more besides the Cathedral) Bristol, Bath, Street as well as the coastal towns of Weston- Super- Mare, Clevedon,( great Victorian Pier) and Burnham and all those in between. The owner was across the driveway and was accessible if required.
This property has to be a jewel in the crown for Sykes. They should be rewarding this owner with as many bouquets as is possible.
We will be returning when we revisit in the future. There are many places to visit.
What an amazing and detailed feedback Jeremy, thank you very much. We are delighted to hear that you are planning a return visit and you will be most welcome.
Kind Regards
Jane and Pete
